Republican Backs Massa For Second Time

Corning - Democratic contender for the 29th District Congressional seat, Eric Massa, received an endorsement from a Republican on Thursday morning in the Crystal City. At a media conference in Centerway Square, retired Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division and self-proclaimed Republican, John Batiste, now of Rochester, said he supports the Democrat running against Incumbent Republican Randy Kuhl. "I see a candidate who has served in the military," said Batiste. "He understands national defense. He knows what to do in support of veterans, and I see in him a canddiate who understands the plight of the business climate of Western New York."
