The Deputy Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) said that it is considering the creation of a fund to promote the Portuguese language, Xinhua reported. During an opening speech at the seventh Summit of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPSC), the official said that the fund will be similar to the one launched by Portugal with the same aim, and it has a value of $47 million.
