By Allie Kay Spaulding/Looking Around Her name isn’t Marian, and Dick Clark’s band doesn’t quite have 76 trombones, but there is going to be enough music on the lawn of the Lompoc Public Library this summer to make the Music Man wish he HAD come to town here. For the second summer in a row, librarian Molly Gerald has organized Free Concerts on the Lawn. And free means free. What you do is show up at 501 E. North Ave. by 2 p.m. with a lawn chair or a blanket — or not — find yourself a spot on the grass by the parking lot, then settle back for an hour or so of the real deal — jazz, swing, Big Band sounds, and music with a Latin beat, depending on which Sunday it is.
