Recently purchased Greece distribution center hits auction

Jim Stinson • Staff writer • July 27, 2008 A sprawling distribution center in Greece once owned by Eastman Kodak Co. is up for sale. Acquest of Buffalo is having an on-site auction at 11 a.m. Thursday to sell the 2 million square feet of space in what had been Kodak Park South at 1600 Lexington Ave. The company just purchased the 105-acre property in April for $11 million and renamed it the Lexington Commerce Center. Some of the space in the gigantic Building 605 was leased. The property's quick turnaround appears not to be a sign of unhappiness. Acquest is a buyer and seller of properties, according to David Fiegel, a Buffalo broker with GoIndustry-DoveBid Inc. in London. "It's the desire of Acquest to test the market," said Fiegel.
