'Heavy Western Cape rainfall to be short lived'

The Cape Town Weather office says the heavy rains and strong winds lashing the city are expected to last for a few hours. Forecaster, Keith Moir, says milder weather conditions are expected for the rest of the week but that there could be some rain along the peninsula again by Thursday. “We're expecting only a couple of hours of continuous rain over the peninsula and the Boland area. In this time there can be some areas that get some heavy rainfall but its going to be short lived and we’ll move into a showery condition. In other words there will be brighter patches in between the showers as they come and go for the rest of the day,”... [read full story]
