Goose Gossage, Dick Williams, Barney Dreyfuss, Bowie Kuhn, Walter O'Malley and Billy Southworth will be inducted into baseball's Hall of Fame this afternoon in Cooperstown. Who are the players most likely to join them in the next few years? Here are the first-time eligible players in upcoming Baseball Hall of Fame elections (and how I rate their chances): Will make it on the first ballot: Rickey Henderson. Would've made it if he had a longer career: David Cone. Very fine careers but won't ever be elected: Mark Grace, Mo Vaughn, Greg Vaughn, Matt Williams. Decent careers but no hope of being elected: Steve Avery, Jay Bell, Mike Bordick, John Burkett, Ron Gant, Todd Hundley, Orlando Merced, Jesse Orosco, Rick Reed.
