Butler flexing his power muscles in July

KANSAS CITY -- Billy Butler has begun to show the kind of power characteristic of his potential. With his shot that landed in the grass beyond the Kauffman Stadium center-field wall on Friday, Butler now has five homers on the year -- four of which have come in July. "He's doing a little bit better job of getting pitches out over the plate and being selective," manager Trey Hillman said. "He hasn't been in such a hurry to swing. That ball he hit [on Friday], that was fun to see. He's got that kind of power." Hilllman just wants to see Butler let his natural power stroke take over without sacrificing consistent contact.
