Sense of Style By Dzireena Mahadzir I’VE been thinking about gladiators this whole season. My first impression was how hideous they were. An editor friend had harped on about the Balenciaga gladiator heels, but somehow I just couldn’t bring myself to get a pair. Really, only Kate Moss can do gladiator flats with floral print tea dresses and look cool. Just about everyone has gladiator heels in their Spring/Sum-mer collection. Givency does several versions (some look like peep-toe ankle boots), Versace has them in bright colours, Lan-vin has gladiator platforms and even Hermes channels the gladiator, but in a more subtle and refined manner (read, wearable).
