Junior livestock show, 4-H, FFA events lined up for fair

For the Cumberland Times-News Cumberland Times-News The junior livestock show, 4-H and FFA event at the Mineral County Fair will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. All participants must be a member of West Virginia 4-H or FFA. The scorecard for judging includes appearance of animals, condition, grooming, clipping, cleanliness, appearance of exhibitor, showing animal in the ring, posing — show animal to best advantage, leading, alertness and attitude. The showmanship awards will the junior show will be: • Class I — Inexperience, 8 years and under, rosette. • Class II — Thirteen years and under, trophy. • Class III — Fourteen years and up, trophy.
