By MIKE HUTSELL Mike.Hutsell@newsandtribune.com Jeff/GRC rebounds with big win The Jeff/GRC 13-14 softball All-Stars rebounded from a tough opener to defeat Brooklyn Little League on Friday night, 14-6. Jeff clubbed 14 hits total and pitcher Kayla Toppe struck out 12 as Jeff improved to 1-1 in the tournament. Jeff suffered an 11-1 loss to Hebron on Thursday in their opening game. “It’s a lot better feeling coming off a win like this one,” said Jeff/GRC assistant coach Chad Stengel. “It’s never fun losing one like we did in the opener.” Jeff face Zionsville today at 4:30.
