SHAH ALAM: Women unable to travel too far from home to work due to family and other commitments will now be able to take up jobs literarily at their doorstep thanks to a new programme being launched by the Human Resources Ministry. Its Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam said the Home Working Programme was aimed at bringing jobs to women who were willing but unable to work due to commitments such as having to care for their children or parents. He said many were already looking for means to increase their household income but were unable to find jobs suited to their needs. He said the ministry explored ways to utilise this pool of able workers and was able to find companies that were willing to take some of their work.
