(AP) - A 42-year-old former sixth-grade teacher in Cheyenne has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison for lying to federal agents in connection with an investigation into a suspected drug ring. Irena F. Mondello, of Cheyenne, also was ordered to pay a $400 fine and serve three years of supervised release. Her attorney, Sean Barrett, said he was considering appealing the sentence which was handed down earlier this month by U.S. District Judge William Downes.
