BANGKOK: England manager Fabio Capello has denied reports he will quit his post after the 2010 World Cup, two years before his contract expires with the national team. “I’m still the team manager. The newspapers misquoted me,” Capello told reporters yesterday in Thailand, where he is passing on his expertise in a coaching clinic and meetings with local coaches. “I still have to work until 2012 because my contract ends that year,” Capello said. An Italian newspaper this week quoted Capello saying that he would step down after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. “This is certain,” he was quoted to say by Italian daily La Repubblica when asked if he would retire after the World Cup.
