Hurley to come off DL to make start

OAKLAND -- The Rangers' parade of rookie starting pitchers continues when Eric Hurley comes off the disabled list and pitches against the Oakland Athletics on Sunday afternoon at McAfee Coliseum. Hurley, now that Kevin Millwood is on the disabled list, officially gives the Rangers three rookie pitchers in their rotation along with Matt Harrison and Luis Mendoza. "What it does is give them some experience playing baseball at a high level when the games mean something," manager Ron Washington said. "If it doesn't work out, it's still experience for the next few years. There's nothing like being in a pennant race when the games mean something. It can only make them better."
