Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.26.2008 Tucson Electric Power Co. ranked among the nation's top 10 "most solar integrated utilities" in the first ranking of its kind by the Solar Electric Power Association, an industry trade association. TEP earned recognition for both its company-owned installations, including its 4.6-megawatt solar array in Springerville, as well as the photovoltaic systems that hundreds of customers have installed on their rooftops through TEP's SunShare program. TEP's total solar generating capacity, which reached 6.1 MW by the end of 2007, ranked eighth among national investor-owned utilities in SEPA's report.
