Cuellar blow for Gers

Spanish stopper ruled out of European clash Rangers boss Walter Smith has all but conceded Carlos Cuellar is out of Wednesday night's UEFA Champions League game against FBK Kaunas at Ibrox. The Spaniard was one of Rangers' outstanding players last term but limped out of the club's friendly against Raith Rovers on Saturday. A calf strain is likely to prohibit Cuellar's involvement in midweek but Smith is hopeful of having his influential stopper back for the return leg. "He has a calf strain, just a slight one. I think in all probability it'll keep him out of Wednesday," Smith conceded. "We're hopeful he'll be back for the return leg.
