By Sharon Lynch Saturday July 26 2008 The Irish unit of soft drinks firm Britvic generated revenue of £147.2m (€186m) for the first nine months of the year despite tougher economic conditions. Overall, Britvic reported a strong revenue performance of £690m for the 40 weeks to July 6, 2008, an increase of 29.9pc on the prior year. UK and international revenues grew by 3.7pc during the period. It said Britvic Ireland's revenue grew 6.1pc in sterling terms for the nine-month period, benefiting from exchange rate movements. The company bought C&C for £170m last year. Underlying euro revenues were down by 5.2pc, with volume declining by 2.9pc.
