Duensing can't hold early lead as Rochester Red Wings lose

The Rochester Red Wings' starting pitchers had allowed just one run on 11 hits in their previous three games before Friday. Left-hander Brian Duensing hoped to continue that trend in his final start before leaving for the U.S. Olympic team. Duensing was given a three-run lead early, but the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees scored seven unanswered runs and defeated the Red Wings 7-3 at PNC Field in Moosic, Pa. Rochester (50-58) remains in fourth place in the International League North Division, 16½ games behind Pawtucket. Centerfielder Matt Carson and shortstop Alberto Gonzalez each homered for the Yankees (65-43), who had seven different players drive in runs. Only Nick Green failed to record a hit.
