GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., 26 July 2008. GE-Aviation has completed qualification and has begun delivery of its new enhanced airborne flight recorder (EAFR) for the Boeing 787 aircraft. "GE's flight recorder is the first to meet the new FAA regulations and we are delighted to be on the Boeing 787 with this technology," says John Ferrie, president of GE's Aviation Systems. "The enhanced airborne flight recorder is the newest in our recorder product family and includes improved capabilities for safety investigators to find and remedy the causes of incidents."
