Rice Volunteer Soccer Coach Craig Waibel To Help Hospitalized Youths

Rice volunteer soccer coach Craig Waibel Volunteer Rice soccer coach and Houston Dynamo star Craig Waibel , along with Houston Texans kicker Chris Brown, are helping youths at local hospitals get a chance to attend an upcoming Dynamo game. Waibel has a chance to help send local youths to the Dynamo's SuperLiga semifinal match against Pachuca on July 29 for every field goal he can make after the Texans' 5:30 pm practice this Sunday (July 27). After getting some pointers on place kicking from Brown, Waibel will attempt 10 field goals at the Texans' practice facility. For every kick Waibel makes, three kids from a local hospital will receive free tickets to the Dynamo game. Waibel, who helped lead the Dynamo to back-to-back MLS Cup championships each of the last two seasons, has been a volunteer soccer coach at Rice since 2006.... [read full story]
