Selectmen name known entity as new secretary

HOLLAND— Selectmen implied it’s a win-win situation for both the town and the applicant at their meeting Wednesday night, as they unanimously voted to appoint Kristin M. LaPlante executive secretary, effective Monday. Out of nine applications received, selectmen accepted six and agreed not to consider three that were submitted after deadline. “We received six timely applications, and we received three additional (applications) that were way late, and therefore we’re not considering them,” Chairman James E. Wettlaufer said.
