English skills to be taught at shelter

Dubai: The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has teamed up with the British Council in Dubai to offer residents at the shelter basic English communication skills to facilitate their reintegration into society. Survivors of domestic violence and other sorts of abuse, who have taken refuge at DFWAC are taking the first steps towards self-empowerment. As they await the resolution of the various aspects of their cases, residents of DFWAC will have the opportunity to attend English language courses.
