Despite glowing MSM reviews, the bishop's march seems to have turned out badly. The march was a bit disappointing. We had hundreds of bishops, but few spectators, even though we went through the heart of London. There were a few who clapped for us, but most looked at us with blank stares--who are these guys in purple dresses? Or with anger for holding up traffic. My favorite quote, the quote that summarizes the day, continues to be Bishop Beetge's from Wednesday' press conference: "If someone who is hungry sees it they will know that the Anglican church cares." The image must have given the starving children of Sudan immeasurable comfort. I am reminded, for some reason, of this Onion article. It's back to business today.
