Actions and reactions on the Angels: Action: Francisco Rodriguez gets his 42nd save on one pitch Wednesday, which is 12 more saves than anyone else in baseball, and continues to threaten Bobby Thigpen’s alltime record of 57. Reaction: Thigpen was 26, as Rodriguez is, when he set that record in 1990 for the White Sox. He only had 54 more in a career that ended in 1994. Rodriguez is now 188 for 217 in save opportunities, alltime.
