By 13News JAMES CITY CO. – Two teenagers were killed in a single-car crash early Friday. Video: 2 killed after car goes airborne in James City Co. 18-year-old Thomas Bernard Karafa's 2001 Volvo lost control on Centerville Road, ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and went airborne into the woods, according to Virginia State Police. The accident happened about 2:30 a.m. Karafa and his friend, 16-year-old Robert Paul McCormack, died at the scene. Investigators say neither victim was wearing a seatbelt. Karafa's sister says her brother graduated from Jamestown High School and was planning to attend Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton in the fall. She says McCormack was a junior at...
