MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin's regional airports are losing service as airlines struggle with high fuel prices and financial losses. New schedules show flights leaving Dane County Regional Airport will have 15 percent fewer available seats this fall. By November, less than 81,000 seats per month will be available compared to more than 95,000 at that time last year. Airports nationwide face similar reductions, including six in Wisconsin. New schedules show only Central Wisconsin Airport near Wausau will have more seats. American Eagle is resuming service there. Former airline executive and consultant Ron McNeill says changes at other airports don't necessarily mean there will be a shortage of seats.
