Low pressure area could form over Bay around Sunday Rain for the past week 33 per cent below average NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department on Friday forecast that rainfall over Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and other parts of central and adjoining peninsular India is likely to increase considerably over the next one week. In an official press release, the IMD said the development follows indications that the monsoon trough, which had been lying close to the foothills of the Himalayas for over a week now, is all set to move southwards from Saturday.
