BY MATT HELMS AND GINA DAMRON • FREE PRESS STAFF WRITERS • July 25, 2008 Hydrochloric acid that spilled from a trailer during a crash in Rochester Hills about 7:20 a.m. today closed Rochester Road near M-59 for more than five hours, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Both directions of the road reopened around 12:35 p.m. Oakland County Sheriff's Capt. Doug Molinar said. Molinar said that three vehicles were involved in the wreck. Hazmat crews cleaned up the acid, which is used to clean bricks. Molinar said the acid was not a threat to the public. No injuries were reported. For real-time traffic, go to www.freep.com/traffic.
