FOR Laurie Ash and her family, coming to Fiji was the experience of a lifetime. She and her sister and their five children are part of the 130-member Canadian youth team that arrived into the country to carry out charity and community projects. Ms Ash is a clerk at the local police station London, Ontario, Canada. Yesterday, the youth group was split into five teams to work at the Lautoka Hospital, Lautoka Special School, Natabua Old People's Home, Lawaki Village dispensary and the Viseisei Village kindergarten. Ms Ash said for many the trip was a new experience outside their country. She said the groups carried out repair works at the Lawaki Village dispensary and the Viseisei Village Kindergarten.
