FOR THE DAILY SOUTHERNER Enjoy an evening of songs made larger than life and unforgettable by some of the greatest country artists of all time as Johnston Community College Country Music Showcase performs a tribute to the legends of country music on April 13 and 14. Celebrity guest and April co-host Christopher Malpass will perform in the upcoming Country Music Showcase’s production, “A Nite at the Ryman.” Malpass and his brother, Taylor, tour regionally as the Malpass Brothers. They performed on the famous Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop Midnight Jamboree that aired March 3 nationwide. Malpass has been touring with country music legend, Don Helms. Helms, former steel guitar player for Hank Williams Sr., recognized Malpass' talent and national appeal and is currently mentoring him. Together they collaborated on the CD project “Turn...
