Smith Investment Co. boosts its dividend

Smith Investment Co. has increased its dividend 7%, or 2 cents, to 30 cents a share. The new rate will be paid Sept. 2 to holders of record Aug. 15. Smith Investment holds a controlling position in the stock of A.O. Smith Corp. Both are located in Milwaukee.
