Baby food manufacturer Nutricia is moving its £2 million media business out of PHD and into Mediaedge:CIA due to a global realignment. It is not known how the move will be received by MEC’s client SMA Nutrition, which also manufactures baby foods. It is possible that MEC will have to resign the account. Nutricia, which owns the Cow & Gate and Milupa brands, has been moving its media account out of local agencies territory by territory into one of its four global roster media agencies. For instance, in Argentina the business moved out of local agency Nya to OMD. The realignment is due to parent company Numico being acquired by Danone last year.
