ALL IN THE GAME: Am I the only unbiased sports writer or commentator?

By Jim Butler / Chronicle contributor On Wednesday, there were four teams represented at SEC media days, but to read the Knoxville newspaper, there were only two. It seems that perennial underdogs Mississippi State and Vanderbilt deserved only a couple of small paragraphs each while LSU and the Florida Gators were discussed extensively. I just hope that I never let myself become so biased that I won’t give the other side fair and equal coverage. On the day that the not-so-mighty-anymore Volunteers are part of the program, I suppose no one will be mentioned but them. How sad? The only mention of the Vanderbilt squad concerned one of their East Tennessee players. Much was said about Tim Tebow though and I do enjoy reading and hearing about him.
