(TSX:IRD) has won a $1-million contract for an electronic toll system, two truck weigh scales and a highway traffic management system in southern India. It is the Saskatoon-based company's second contract with Hyderabad-headquartered construction group Madhucon Projects Ltd. Installation is to be completed over the next eight months of the 12-lane toll collection complex, weigh-in-motion scales and traffic management system, which includes vehicle counters, electric signs, closed-circuit TV cameras and emergency call boxes. The systems, along a 58-kilometre four-lane stretch of highway, will be connected over an optical fibre backbone to a central control room.
