A Yangtze cruise proves a fascinating way to explore China, reports Leonie Coombes | July 26, 2008 IT'S in Shanghai that we first see the Yangtze River, its brown, business-like appearance betraying nothing of its exotic origins. Boats of all shapes and sizes ply the grey waters of the Yangtze River, the passing scenery reminiscent of an old Chinese pen-and-ink drawing.
