To the Editor: This is to all the folks who are fed up with crime in their neighborhood. I don't blame you. I read with interest the article written by Jeffrey Alderton, "Burglaries pose growing threat in three counties" (July 24 Times-News). I became security chairwoman of our 600-home development which also includes our recreation area which is usually the focus point of the major vandalism. Two other concerns in our neighborhood are speeding and vehicle vandalism/break-ins. I would highly recommend to the residents of Paw Paw or anyone in a close-knit community to form a neighborhood watch committee. Once you have done that, your security chair should get in contact with the local sheriff's office to set up a Neighborhood Watch Program.
