Stray Questions for: Stacey D’Erasmo By Dwight Garner Stacey D’Erasmo’s most recent novel is “A Seahorse Year.” What are you working on? Right now I’m in that strange, tender in-between zone when one book is irretrievably finished — though I’ve done my best to drag it out — and the other is just forming. I’m reading toward the new one, but I also walk around listening for it; there’s rock music in it, so I’m trying to tune into its sound. I cut out images from the newspaper that look like some of the people; I’ve started its notebook (bang orange), which is a good sign. In the meantime, because the book I just finished writing has to do with Ovid, I find I still have Ovid on my mind.
