By Jennifer K. Woldt • of The Northwestern • July 25, 2008 It took Robert D. Johnson a split second to make the decision to drive home after spending the night drinking at a tavern. As a result of that decision, Johnson fatally struck a bicyclist and will now spend time in prison. Winnebago County Circuit Court Judge William Carver on Thursday sentenced Johnson, 23, to three years in prison followed by four years of extended supervision on charges of hit and run causing a death and his second offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Johnson was charged in connection to a Feb. 2 crash in the 3200 block of Fond du Lac Road in which Johnson struck Vincent Greuel, 42, of Oshkosh, while Greeuel was riding his bicycle.
