Two dead, two serious injured in road crashes

TWO men were killed and a man and woman were seriously injured following two separate road accidents. The first accident took place on the A303 at Micheldever at 4.06pm on Thursday and the second at about 5.20pm on the diversion route set up after the first incident. In the first crash a silver Peugeot 206, which was travelling east towards Popham crossed over the central barrier and collided with a Land Rover Freelander 4x4, which was travelling westbound towards Bullington Cross. Both the 41-year-old male driver of the Peugeot and the 54-year-old male driver of the Land Rover were pronounced dead at the scene.
