BY CARLIE KOLLATH Daily Journal TUPELO - The next thing in phone technology has hit Tupelo and Northeast Mississippi, thanks to Cellular South. Mark Prince, the wireless company's business development manager for the Tupelo office, said the company has added next-generation (3G) CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A high-speed Internet wireless access from Pontotoc to Tupelo. Cellular South already offers the service in other parts of the state, including Jackson, Oxford, the Golden Triangle, the Gulf Coast and the Hattiesburg area. Prince said EV-DO is a mobile high-speed data network that enables downloads of 1 mg per second and uploads of 600 kb per second.
