A Nashua man faces criminal charges and more after police accused him of using the identity of a California man to work at a local business. Police arrested Miguel Ortiz, 28, of 87 Chestnut St. in Hudson on Tuesday afternoon on one count of class A felony identity theft following an investigation that began last week with a call from sheriff's officials in Sutter County, Calif., Hudson police said in a written statement. According to the statement, the sheriff's officials reported that Ortiz was believed to be using the identity of a Yuba City, Calif., man to work at a business in Hudson. Yuba City is a small community north of Sacramento, known for its production of prunes.
