Hard Drive Failures, Using Spyware, and Locating Network Devices

Should I Buy an AntiSpyware After This Message? Hello, I was watching a video (that I have watched the other day), when I started receiving spyware warning messages indicating that I have over 3000 files infected and that I should install an antivirus/spyware program to clean my computer. Hard Drive Failure I have a Inspiron 6000 notebook and I believe the hard drive may be starting to fail. I have had an odd Blue screen with error messages stating that windows has to shut down due to a disc error. Is there a routine that I could use to test the hard drive other than the standard windows routines? Any help would be appreciated.
