Ambassador Mohamed Lemine Selmane makes history by becoming Mauritania's first envoy to Zimbabwe. He would be based in Pretoria, South Africa. In an interview with journalists after presenting his credentials, Ambassador Selmane pledged to establish cordial relations between Zimbabwe and Mauritania. "It is a privilege I had the opportunity to convey greetings from His Excellency President Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi and his commitment and desire to develop relations of co-operation at economic and diplomatic level," he said.
