Rogers is a graduate of the Vermont College of Medicine and the University of Illinois at Chicago. He served his general surgery residency at the Chicago institution and did his fellowship in trauma at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. His most recent post was as vice chairman of surgery and chief of the Division of Trauma/Critical Care at the Fletcher Allen Health Care System's Level I Trauma Center in Burlington, Vt., an affiliate of the University of Vermont School of Medicine.
