There’s a possibility Francisco Rodriguez could be the next MVP of the American League. That’s not our opinion; that’s the opinion of Peter Gammons, a Hall of Fame journalist who knows more about the infield fly rule than we know about our own spiritual beliefs. Gammons this week on ESPN repeatedly mentioned the Angels’ closer as a favorite to win the league’s most valuable player award. Frankly – or Frankie, in this case – that’s good enough for us.
