Now he's ready to break free from the remote control and be part of the biggest club tournament of them all as an interactive player. The German, who signed from Sevilla in January, was ineligible for Celtic's European campaign last season. That meant he had to watch the away action on television. Now there's no impediment to the full-back getting a game, other than maintaining form good enough to get picked by Gordon Strachan, and Hinkel can't wait.
