Anibal Sanchez (1-0) threw a complete game for the Mudcats in what was likely his final rehab start before returning to the major leagues. But David Welch shut out the Mudcats on one hit in the nightcap to win 3-0 and give the Stars a split of the doubleheader. The only Mudcats hit was a single by John Raynor in the third.
