ATLANTA -- Gov. Sonny Perdue will be heading to China next week, for his second trip there in the past four months. Though the trip coincides with the start of the Olympic Games, Perdue's trip will be about something else -- building a legacy of economic partnership with China. "We've made a big push in the state for a global Georgia," Perdue said. The governor has made 14 international trips, but his push in China stands to reap the biggest gains. Georgia's trade to and from China totaled nearly $17 billion in 2006 -- and Delta's new nonstop service to China has given the governor an added platform. "We have to build the relationships within the government, which I think we made great progress in our last visit, as well as demonstrating to those businesses that Georgia's a great place in which to do business," Perdue said....
