Kevin Jones rushed for 3,067 yards and 24 TDs in four seasons with the Detroit Lions. Jones made an immediate impact as a rookie with the Detroit Lions in 2004, but serious leg injuries each of the past two seasons have derailed his once promising career. Selected by the Lions with the 30th pick in the first round of the draft, Jones joined Billy Sims and Barry Sanders as the only Detroit rookies to rush for at least 1,000 yards. Jones gained 1,133 yards in his first season, averaging a robust 4.7 yards per carry. He hasn’t come close to approaching those numbers again, and injuries have been a major culprit.
