Milwaukee-area foreclosures up, but well below national figures

Search the 1,900 foreclosed properties that were sold in a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Sale between Dec. 1, 2006, to Dec. 7, 2007. The rate of foreclosures on homes in Wisconsin grew in the second quarter, but the state remains well below the national level, according to a report released today by RealtyTrac of Irvine, Calif. That followed a report Thursday by the National Association of Realtors that the sale of homes nationally fell 2.6% in June to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.86 million units.
